Take No Thought For Your Life Part 7

Beloved, in continuance of our theme “Take No Thought For Your Life” – have you ever considered that it is extremely medicinal to your spirit when you read the promises of God over and over? I mean – by repeating them over and over until your whole body is refreshed by them. I’m serious: Job taught us that that is how he made it through his period of vicious trials and tribulation. Remember, he said (in Job 23:12), “…I have (not) gone back from the Commandment of His (God’s) lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food”!!!

Chosen ones, it is possible to meditate on the promises of God, so much so, until every doubt is washed out of your mind – or, as the Psalmist puts it (in Psalms 119:11), “Thy word (including promises) have I hid in (my) heart, that I might not sin against thee”!!! When you and I regurgitate the words of God’s promises, then worry vanishes and joy floods the soul with thanksgiving.

Precious ones, it is a thankful heart that believes God and receives from God. Paul said (in Corinthians 14:18), because “I thank my God (He rewarded me to) speak with tongues more than ye all”!!! In other words, Beloved, instead of “thinking about your life,” you need to redirect your “thoughts” to think about your purpose for being here! Must I remind you, Beloved, of the words God told Jeremiah in 13:11? God said, “…so have I caused to cleave to me the whole house of Israel (the whole Church) and Judah, saith the Lord, THAT THEY MIGHT BE UNTO ME FOR A PEOPLE, AND FOR A NAME, AND FOR PRAISE, AND FOR GLORY….” Our job, Beloved, is to bring glory to God, not ourselves!

I will write more on this subject next week. Until then, know this…

I love you all SO very much.
In His love,

Pastor William L. McCoy
