Beloved, in continuance of our theme, “Take no Thought for Your Life” – When your bones are dried out from a worried and depressed spirit, how can you prevent arthritis and other bone diseases from settling into your body? My suggestion is to keep maintaining your suppleness by praising God. Consider this – little children and young adults stay active because they haven’t learned how to worry like the chronologically-gifted adults. In other words, worry is a learned behavior. You didn’t come into the world worrying. As children, most of us didn’t have a care in the world. Rather, most of us can honestly say that we just wanted to play, eat, have fun, and sleep – that’s it! Now that we have matured and can recognize that we need certain things in order to survive, all of a sudden we’ve gone from not caring about how we receive things, to worrying about whether we will receive those things.
Precious Ones, worry is a sign of lack of trust in God. Our God takes it personal when we worry. Why? Because He knows that there was a time when all of His human family didn’t worry! Please understand that worry is not faith, and faith doesn’t worry. When you find yourself worrying, you must give constant thought to the fact that your faith has dropped below the receiving level. The only way to build that level up again is to look into God’s Word and hold on to what He has promised!!!
Chosen Ones, I read a promise from Jesus that has lasted and will last for eternity. This promise keeps my receiving level up. Here it is – “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it” (John 14:14).
I will write more on this subject next week. Until then, know this…
I love you all SO very much.
In His love,
Pastor William L. McCoy
