Beloved, I want to write unto you from a new subject entitled, “If Two shall Agree ”. Remember, Jesus said, “If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 18:19). There are two schools of thought here: (1) Since God’s human creation is body, soul and spirit, if two out of these three would agree to ask anything from God in faith, it shall be done. In other words, if your body and soul agree to believe, then your spirit will reap the benefits of witnessing the miraculous! Or, if your spirit and soul agree to believe, then your body will benefit and see a great move of God. (2) The other school of thought focuses on the bold promise of Jesus - “it shall be done for them”. In layman’s terms, Jesus was saying that the moment two persons agree to believe the same thing, He guarantees a manifestation of that petition. With such a promise as this, how could we not be motivated to pray fervently together in faith?
Chosen Ones, this is why it is of the utmost importance to fellowship with Christians who believe as you do. The warning to my sheep (over whom the Holy Ghost has made me overseer) is this - don’t fellowship with Christians based on denomination, but rather on impartation! Two Baptists, two Pentecostals, two Methodists don’t necessarily constitute successful results in prayer, but two who believe God can heal, deliver, and set free. They can do anything but fail! Jesus can work in that environment.
I will write more on this subject next week.
Until then, know this,
I love you all SO very much,
In His Love,
Pastor William L. McCoy
