Take No Thought For Your Life Part 12

Beloved, in continuance of our theme, “Take no Thought for Your Life” - when God spoke, the things He commanded were done! As I shared with you at the beginning of this letter, everything is cleansed through His word (see John 15:3). When Jesus uses the term “clean”, He doesn’t refer to hygiene, but to power and authority. A good supporting scripture is found in the Book of I John - “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins [to give us power and authority], and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Jesus has given power to a few who believe in Him, so that they too can speak things into existence without living under condemnation. Why? Because our own authority and power is nothing! “All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6). However, when we speak under the power and authority of God’s Word, it alone is “clean” and will fulfill every promise spoken!

Chosen Ones, this is why saints do not “take thought for their lives”, or worry about their lives. Why? Because we have the authority of God’s power inside of us. When we decrease and allow the Holy Spirit to increase, nothing we say shall fail to come to pass! Consider Elijah as an example. Elijah said to King Ahab, “There shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word” (I Kings 17:1). Three and a half years later, the same prophet used his words in prayer and brought back rain to the earth. God gave him the authority to select the element (rain), the time (3½ years) and the circumstance (the idolatry of Ahab and Jezebel) upon which to show the glory of God. Just as God provided the needs of his people then, so will He do now, if we believe Him. So, what element do you want to influence? How much time do you want it to take? What circumstance do you want authority over?

I will write more on this subject next week. Until then, know this,

I love you all SO very much.
In His love,

Pastor William L. McCoy
