Take No Thought For Your Life Part 3

5.22.05

Beloved, in continuance of our theme, “Take no Thought for Your Life” - think of this question that Jesus asked, “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?” (Matthew 6:27). In other words, Jesus asked, “What do you gain by worrying?” I must share this with you—when you get through worrying about your unpaid bills, they are still unpaid! All our past worrying over food and groceries didn’t give us the power to make vegetable, fruit, or cattle grow. I implore you to reorganize how you think about the things you need. For example, think about it this way—God is the One who caused everything we eat to grow. In actuality, when you read the sequence of events of creation—when you read about what God created and the days in which He created them, you’ll find that God provided these things for us before we came into existence. Man was God’s last creation before He rested (see Genesis 2:1-2 and 7). This teaches us that God made everything for us to enjoy before we asked Him.”

Precious Ones, if you consider all of the splendiferous grandeur that God has placed in this world for us to enjoy, how could you “take thought for” (worry about) the things you need to live and to enjoy life? Your Heavenly Father knoweth what you have need of before you even know that you need it. There are many things that we still haven’t discovered that we need, and I’m happy to report that our God has those items covered too!

I will write more on this subject next week. Until then, know this…

I love you all SO very much.
In His love,

Pastor William L. McCoy
