Beloved, in continuance of our theme, “God’s Masterpiece” – When the Body awakes the morning of the Second Resurrection (the one in which all of God’s creation will be judged according to their works), events will occur as recorded by John – “I saw a great white throne….And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God…and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it….And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:11-13 and 20:15). God will have created a “new Masterpiece.” This body will awake expecting relief, but it will find that its judgment will be punishment, which in reality, will have just begun.
Precious Ones, this is why we must glorify God with this “Masterpiece,” as instructed in I Corinthians 6:19-20. Why? Because only now can this masterpiece be “the temple of the Holy Ghost.” After the rapture of the saints, we will be with the Holy Ghost and there will be no need for the Holy Spirit to have a temple to dwell in! Paul puts it this way, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price (Calvary): therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
Chosen Ones, this means that “God’s Masterpieces” (the Body, Soul, and Spirit) are recording all of the works that we are doing now, so that when we stand before God in the end, we will not be punished (as those who will be cast into hell). Let us pay attention to the status of our own “Masterpieces.” Again, Paul says that we do not have time to judge others, but must “work out our own salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12).
I will write the conclusion of this series of letters next week. Until then, know this…
I love you all so very much.
In His Love,
Pastor William L. McCoy
