God's Masterpiece (continued)

Beloved, in continuance of our theme, “God’s Masterpiece” – You must understand that when the bodies of humans are delivered up to death and the grave, the deeds that their bodies performed while they were alive are still imprinted on the Soul. You must also understand that the Soul and the Body (“God’s Masterpieces”) enter the grave together. This is why it is important to make sure that you keep the soul clean of any condemned deeds while you are alive. If you do not, your soul will be uncomfortable and in torment while you wait to be judged by the only true and living God who knows that you are guilty!! On the day that Peter received the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:4), this process was revealed to him. Peter knew about King David, “a prophet [to whom] God had sworn…that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ” (Acts 2:30). With this knowledge, Peter was able to proclaim “Thou [O Lord] hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy” (Acts 2:28). How? “Because thou wilt not leave my Soul in hell [or torment because I did right while I was alive], neither wilt thou [God] suffer thine Holy One to see corruption [to burn in the Lake of Fire prepared for Satan, his angels, and every unbeliever]” (Acts 2:27).

Precious Ones, we must guard “God’s Masterpiece” (the Body) from any sins against God so that “God’s other Masterpiece” (the Soul) can comfort us when it is time for our bodies to die.

I will write more on this subject next week. Until then, know this…

I love you all so very much.
In His Love,

Pastor William L. McCoy
