Beloved, in continuance of our theme, “A God who cannot lie” – A multitude may arise against you, but nothing can stop a soul that has faith in God. I cannot speak for you, but I personally have nothing else to live for but the Lord. I could not enjoy life without Jesus, after meeting and becoming acquainted with Him. I can even share this truth with you – I would rather be dead than not have Christ in my life. Not because I am so virtuous and an expert when it comes to priority, but because my history with God has taught me that “He will never lie” to me. God is so faithful and dependable. I have learned that you need not grumble nor murmur, just put your trust in the Lord. Truly Isaiah was right when he said, “…the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all [of our] faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it” (Isaiah 25:8). Beloved, that means that the song writer was correct when he said, “Be not dismayed whatever be tide, ‘God’ will take care of you!” You can trust that “God will not lie about that.”
Precious Ones, now comes the definition of one of the most popular scriptures in the Holy Writ – “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). Jesus explains this in Luke 12:15, “… for a man’s life consisteth NOT in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” In other words, we do not exist by gold and silver, but by the word of God! When you walk with God, there will be times when you will surely “be alone,” but if the word of God is your possession, you will always have “life and more abundantly.”
I will write more next week.
I love you all so very much.
In His love,
Pastor William L. McCoy
