Principles of the Doctrine of Christ: Eternal Judgement (continued)

Beloved, in continuance of our theme “Eternal Judgment” from our series the “Principles of the Doctrine of Christ” – there are many judgments; some are probationary (or corrective) dating all the way back to Genesis through Revelation. God’s first recorded “judgment” is found in Genesis 3:14, “Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed…” Beloved, this teaches us that God will hand out “judgment” against sins. This is why Paul said, “For if [ye] would judge [yourself], [ye] [will] not be judged [in eternity]” (1 Corinthians 11:31).

Precious Ones, Peter told us to look at past examples of God’s “judgment” – “turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly” (2 Peter 2:6). Peter tells us that this is the example of God’s judgment of punishment. Beloved, you don’t want God to show you that when you sin He can “overthrow” you and make you an “example” for others to fear to be obedient to Him.

Chosen Ones, Jesus teaches us that he will “judge” this earth based upon how they treat men such as myself, who carry his Word in their mouth! Jesus said, “Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes [teachers of the Word]: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and…scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon you [who discredit their authority] may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias [the prophet who wrote the Book of Zachariah] son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar” (Matthew 23:34-35). This teaches us that when we can’t receive the word from the man of God, God will be our Judge! I’m so glad that the AHFC family is obedient to their Pastor.

I will write more on this subject next week. Until then, know this

I love you all so very much.
In His Love,

Pastor William L. McCoy
