He That Overcometh (continued)

Beloved, in continuance of our theme, “He that Overcometh” – our Bible advocates that each and everyone of us who “overcometh,” shall be given the life, power, and authority that was manifested in Jesus Christ in the days of his flesh (or in the “morning” of the gospel dispensation [Revelation 22:16], which is definitive of “the bright and morning star”). Beloved, the truth of these revelations has come in the “evening time” – “but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light” (Zechariah 14:7). All this means is that the name of Jesus will be observed and exalted when this global environment experiences “the evening” of troubles, trials, and hardships. If these wars continue, if we have more and more casualties of typhoons in Indonesia (over 100,000 now and still counting), if we keep losing jobs to overseas corporations, if we keep experiencing AIDS and other incurable diseases – all of these tragedies will draw men and women, boys and girls to look for the true light of “the bright and morning star” – our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Precious Ones, the spirit of the Sardis period (of the Revelation Church age) was the spirit of false conception. They had a name that they lived by, but were dead. This spirit appeared at the time of the reformation of the Church Global. For example, many who followed Martin Luther (the religious reformer in 1546, who inspired Protestants to conform to justification by faith doctrine) and the reformers held fast to what knowledge they had, they refused to return to paganism. What was amazing was that they did this and did not have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of them as we do! Because of Luther’s firm stand (and the reformers), God honored them and exhorted them to hold fast to what they had received and heard, but to deepen their repentance. Even though they did not have the fullness of the Spirit yet, because they walked in all the light that they had, Jesus, who had the Seven Spirits (fullness) of God, declared, “[T]hey shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy” (Revelation 3:4).

Chosen Ones, this teaches us that we can “overcome” deception in our lives, even if we received false church doctrine by false conception. There are many Buddhist, Christian Scientist, Mormon, Jehovah’s Witness, and other false teachings and doctrine believers, who have chosen these persuasions because they were conceived in these doctrines. Their parents reared them up in these false conceptions. However, God does not excuse even them! He teaches that even they can “overcome” false conception – “[Y]e shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

I will write more later on this subject. Until then, know this…

I love you all so very much.
In His love,

Pastor William L. McCoy
